Mr N. Chandrasekaran is Chairman of Tata Sons, the holding company of the Tata Group, and chairs several group companies, including Tata Steel, Tata Motors, Tata Power, Air India, Tata Consumer Products, Indian Hotel Company, and Tata Consultancy Services. He joined Tata Electronics as Chairman of the Board in May 2024.

Mr Chandrasekaran built a 30-year career at TCS, rising to the office of CEO of the global IT services firm before becoming Chairman of Tata Sons. He serves on the International Advisory Council of Singapore’s Economic Development Board, Mitsubishi’s International Advisory Committee, and the Board of Governors of the New York Academy of Sciences, and is Co-Chair of the India-US CEO Forum.

In recognition of his efforts towards strengthening bilateral trade relations, Mr Chandrasekaran was conferred with one of India’s highest civilian honours, the Padma Bhushan, in 2022, France’s top civilian award, the Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur, in 2023, and the Honorary Knighthood of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire in 2025.

Mr Chandrasekaran is the author of Bridgital Nation, a book on leveraging technology to advance India’s development.

Mr Chandrasekaran holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Sciences and a Master’s degree in Computer Applications.

Dr Randhir Thakur is the CEO and Managing Director of Tata Electronics since April 2023 and has served on the Board since April 2021. He is the Additional Director (Non-Executive and Non-Independent Director) of Tejas Networks. He brings over 40 years of semiconductor industry experience in manufacturing, R&D, and P&L management.

An IEEE Fellow since 2013, he holds more than 300 patents. His expertise includes product development, joint ventures, M&A, process technology, and ecosystem collaboration.

Before joining Tata Electronics, Dr Thakur held senior roles at Intel, including President of Intel Foundry Services, and Corporate Vice President and Chief Supply Chain Officer at Intel Corp. He has also held leadership positions at Applied Materials, SanDisk, Steag Electronic Systems, and Micron Technology.

Dr Thakur holds a Bachelor’s in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from NIT Kurukshetra, a Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan, and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma.

Mr Banmali Agrawala is Senior Advisor at Tata Sons Pvt. Limited, since June 2023. He is also the Chairman of Tata Advanced Systems Pvt. Limited and its subsidiaries, Tata Boeing Aerospace Limited, Tata Lockheed Martin Aerospace Limited, and Tata Sikorsky Aerospace Limited. Additionally, he is a Board Director at Tata Electronics Pvt. Limited and Tata Medical & Diagnostics Limited.

Outside of the Tata Group, he is a member of the Board of Directors of KONE Corporation – Finland, National Investment and Infrastructure Fund Limited (NIIFL), and Pratham Education Foundation, a Not-for-Profit organisation in India.

Previously, Mr Agrawala was with Tata Sons Private Limited, as President, Infrastructure, Defence & Aerospace, from October 2017 to June 2023. In his earlier role, at GE, he was President and CEO - South Asia, where he was responsible for the American multinational corporation’s operations in the South Asia region. Prior to GE, he was Executive Director (Business Development & Strategy) and a member of the Board of Tata Power.

A veteran in the Energy domain, Mr Agrawala has over 30 years of global experience. He started his career with the Wartsila Group, a Finnish manufacturing and services company, where he spent over 20 years, both in India and in Finland. At the time of leaving the Wartsila Group, he was the Managing Director of Wartsila India Limited, the Global Head of Bio Power Industries and a member of the Global Power Plant Management Board.

Mr Agrawala is a Mechanical Engineering graduate from Mangalore University and an alumnus of the Advanced Management Programme of Harvard Business School.

Ms Aarthi Subramanian is Executive Director – President and Chief Operating Officer of the Tata Consultancy Services Limited (TCS). Her association with the Tata Group spans over three decades, marked by progressive leadership roles, and she has extensive experience in technology and operations. 

Previously, Ms Subramanian was the Group Chief Digital Officer at Tata Sons Private Limited, where she led the conglomerate's digital, technology and innovation agenda across a diverse portfolio of industries. She has been instrumental in ensuring that Tata group companies harness digital technologies to enhance operational efficiency, customer engagement, and competitive advantage.

In her earlier stint as Executive Director and Global Head of Delivery Excellence, Governance & Compliance at TCS, she was responsible for ensuring service delivery excellence, governance of large transformation programs, and overseeing risk and compliance across global operations. Ms Subramanian has also held several key board positions within the Tata group, including Tata Capital Limited and Tata AIA Life Insurance Company Limited, Infiniti Retail Limited, Tata Digital Private Limited, Supermarket Grocery Supplies Pvt Limited, and Tata UniStore Limited.

Ms Subramanian holds a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from the National Institute of Technology, Warangal, India, and a Master's degree in Engineering Management from the University of Kansas, USA.

Her exemplary contributions have been acknowledged through various accolades such as "Technology Leader of the Year" at ETPrime Women Leadership Awards (2019), and Business Today's "Most Powerful Women in Business" (2016).

Mr Ankur Verma is Group Chief Strategy Officer at Tata Sons Private Limited, where he has responsibilities in strategy, corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions. Previously, he was Managing Director (Investment Banking Division) in Bank of America Merrill Lynch, prior to which he was Group Manager & Head, Business Planning in Infosys Technologies Limited – Corporate Planning Group.

Mr Verma currently serves on the boards of several Tata group companies including Tata Teleservices Limited, Tata Autocomp Systems Limited, Tata Elxsi Limited, Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Limited, Tata Play Limited, Tata 1MG Technologies Private Limited, Tata Unistore Limited, Supermarket Grocery Supplies Private Limited, Tata Communications Limited, Infiniti Retail Limited, Tata Electronics Private Limited and Tata Digital Private Limited.

Mr Verma, a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering and PGDM from IIM, Calcutta, has around 25 years of experience in Investment Banking, Capital Markets and Corporate Strategy.

Ms Sharmila Abhay Karve is an Independent Director on the Boards of several companies, including Syngene International Limited, Thomas Cook (India) Limited, CSB Bank Limited, EPL Limited, Aadhar Housing Finance Limited, and Fairfax India Holdings, a Canadian-listed company.

Before this, Ms Karve served on the global leadership team of the PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) network and was the Global Diversity & Inclusion Leader. She was the Head of Risk & Quality for the PwC India Network, where she collaborated closely with business leaders to assess the risk profiles of their products and services and implement effective mitigating controls. As the Head of Risk & Quality, Ms Karve represented the firm in various interactions with SEBI, SFIO, MCA, and others and was actively involved in negotiating the settlement with the US regulators, namely the Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB). She implemented the Quality Management System (QMS) in the India network of Firms which was reviewed by the SEC & PCAOB appointed monitor as a result of which the sanctions against the firms was lifted. Ms Karve was appointed as the Head of Audit post the Satyam Matter and she with her team helped navigate the firm through this crisis and retained partners, staff and clients.

Ms Karve completed her Articles with Lovelock & Lewes (a member firm of Coopers & Lybrand) in 1988 and continued with the firm as an Assistant Manager till 1991. She rejoined the firm in 1994 and was admitted to the partnership in 1997. She was the youngest and one of the first woman partner at the firm. For the next 10 years, she was an audit partner for several large Indian and Multinational clients.
