Tata Electronics and Enomoto Sign Memorandum of Understanding to Strengthen Semiconductor Packaging Ecosystem in India

• Enomoto will support the development of the semiconductor materials supply chain for Tata Electronics’ Semiconductor Packaging facility in Jagiroad, Assam 
• Strategic collaboration aligns with India and Japan’s strategic semiconductor supply chain partnership aimed at building resilient technology ecosystems 

New Delhi, September 18, 2026: Tata Electronics, a pioneering leader in India’s electronics and semiconductor manufacturing sector, and Enomoto Co., Ltd., a leading Japanese precision semiconductor component manufacturer, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to advance the semiconductor packaging ecosystem in India, and support Tata Electronics’ packaging facility in Jagiroad, Assam.  

As part of the collaboration, Enomoto will leverage its R&D capabilities, technical know-how, and next-generation solutions to accelerate semiconductor packaging readiness for the Jagiroad facility. The company will also explore localizing lead frame manufacturing in India, strengthening the domestic supply chain for a critical semiconductor packaging component. The partnership will further assess opportunities for technology transfer, engineering collaboration, and capability development, supporting the creation of an integrated and resilient semiconductor value chain in India.
